This is my second week of summer, and week #2 of Tackle it Tuesday for me. This summer I am focusing on one big project a week and blogging about it. I hope this public accountability will give me the incentive to tackle some tough projects, that frankly I would rather not do. I am teaming up with 5 Minutes for Mom.com and flying their Tackle It Tuesday banner. Click on it for more Tackle it Tuesday posts.
Last week was a great success with the "Clean out the Garage" Project. My husband helped me,I procured child care, and it was a success. Now, I feel great when I walk in my garage instead becoming frustrated when I trip over something !
This week's project "Clean out the Home Schooling "stuff", was MUCH tougher. It requires culling through large quantities of my children's art, craft, and school work. What to keep? What is throw away? If I keep it, how do I store it? This is not an easy task for a Mom.
This week I decided to set up the organizing system, and then I am taking the rest of the week for the paper purging. So, I am calling the post Part 1, because I am not done yet.
My girls were swimming at my neighbor's house when I was working on this project. A thunderstorm cut their visit short, however my six year old, who loves organization, really liked the results so far.
You be the judge, here are the before and after photos:

With Ladybug going into first grade and Bumblebee a rising pre kindergartner, I needed more space for their books, instructional games, worksheets, and craft materials. I also wanted them to have access to these items. So, I expanded this area.
