First, I would to thank my husband, who worked his tail off yesterday. His Brother Knights and he were at our church kitchen at 6:00 AM preparing for the Mother's Day breakfast. My girls were very excited about the artwork and cards they made and the beautiful annuals they helped Daddy pick out for our backyard. Later in the afternoon, the four of us went to the zoo on a beautiful sunny day. My two-year old fell and skinned both of her knees, and had a major meltdown on the way home from the zoo. My five-year old was so hyped up on ice cream, Danish, and pancake syrup, she didn't want to go to sleep. But to me it was a perfect day. Like Carmen, the famous mom to the screaming masses http://momtothescreamingmasses.typepad.com/, I want to remember and cherish these moments. It was a magical day knowing both of these beautiful children are my daughters and this is our first Mother's Day as a family.
Mary,
I am so happy you started a blog. I love reading it.
Great post!!!
