Hi Mary! I came over from Conversion Diary, and seeing you mention your love of reading and your reading plan for the new year, I thought you might be interested to see what our parish Catholic book club is reading and doing. We're about to celebrate our second anniversary next month.

I just got home tonight from our January meeting, so my mind is still spinning through our discussion of the pope's book "Jesus of Nazareth". I hope I'm not being too pushy here--just thought you might be interested in what others are doing as well. Check out our Books So Far list for what we have read since we began. I look forward to reading more of your blog!

Artisan Bread is one of my favorite cookbooks these days. I've had it for a couple of years and use it weekly and sometimes more than weekly.

One of my goals is to start baking my own bread on a regular basis. I am looking forward to trying out some of these recipes!

Thank you for the information. I checked out your book club blog and left a comment. I am almost finished with the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. I found out that although she is a self-described "reverent agnostic", she found a spiritual mentor in St. Therese of Lisieux. Gretchen ended up reading no less than 17 books on the "Little Flower", and reread her spiritual memoir, Story of the Soul, many times. Guess what I am reading next...
