Things are kinda crazy around here, good but crazy. We are all tuckered out !
Here's some highlights from our week.
Tuesday, I picked up my Ladybug from school. She announced she had received a number for misbehaving in school. At her school, they have five rules. If your child is good she receives a "Scotty" dog stamp on her calendar. If she violates one of the rules, she receives the number of the rule she did not follow. Ladybug did not follow rule#2, Keep your hands, feet, and other parts of your body to yourself." You may ask,
"Did my little angel hit or kick someone?"
2.
This week ,we started our Great Adventure Bible Study for Kids. My good friend, who has two little girls the same age of mine, are joining forces and doing it together. We started with the Creation Story, adding the hymn "How Great Thou Art" with hand and arm movement. We are also having the girls memorize one Bible verse a week. My friend came up with a catchy tune for:
"In the beginning, in the beginning, God created he heavens and the earth."
3.
The young ladies I watch after school and my daughters are getting along so well, it s hard to stop the party and start homework. I have finally resorted to the egg timer, when the timer goes off snack and play time is over, and it's time to crack open the books! So much home work!
4.
Bumblebee LOVES her Wednesday art and music school. The school uses the Abrakadoodle art curriculumas well as music, and dance. This week she used a shoe print to make a horse picture and studied the work of George Stubbs. I am grateful for this opportunity. We are also continuing with home school with Bumblebee. This week we learned the short vowel sound of e, and are reviewing shapes before we move on to numbers next week.
5. On Thursday, Bumblebee finally visited the eye doctor. Her left eye is having trouble seeing close up which has caused her right eye to overcompensate. The doctor felt glasses will correct this problem. Bumblebee picked out the cutest purple eye glasses. She should receive them in two weeks time, and she is very excited about it!
6. Also on Thursday, was the second meeting of my Moms' Bible Study group. This academic year, we are studying the Acts of the Apostles and the Letters of Paul together. We are using the Come and See Catholic Bible study to guide us on our journey, and so far the discussion and sorority has been amazing;food for my soul. The Bible verse for the week is:
"And Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38).
7. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. For more quick takes, see Jennifer at the Conversion Diary.
She's so brave! I give her a sticker for the kiss. :)

Good thing Pops isn't here, I was laughing so hard about the "number" for kissing I almost fell out of my chair! So glad to hear all three of you girls are adjusting to the new school routines!
Love,

So glad to hear that everything is going so well. You all appear very happy and relaxed when I see you!
Tell your girl that Emma wears purple glasses when she reads, and that Gabe started wearing glasses when he was 3.

Thanks Carmen, things are more relaxed, I get a hour or so of breathing room during the middle of the day which makes all the difference in the world.
Peace be with you,
Mary
