Tuesday was Ladybug's first day in the first grade. It started a little shaky, the school bus broke down and never showed up at our bus stop. My neighbor, who's son E. is also starting first grade and is in the same class, graciously offered to drive Ladybug to school with her children.
At first, I said, "No, I'll take her..." but Ladybug begged to go with her friends, and so I let go, and said okay.
So, how was her first day of school?
Well, when Daddy asked her if she needed help finding her class, she said, " No, Daddy. I showed E. the way to our classroom."
Later, that evening, when her godmother called to see how the day went, she exclaimed, "Excellent!"
Her favorite subjects so far? Music and P.E.
Today the bus showed up right on time!
Today, Bumblebee starts her once a week Fine Arts class, which includes dance, music, and art.
She is very excited about starting her school too.
She looks so big going off with her backpack to school. Where have all the babies gone? I'm so proud of both girls taking on the world and walking into the unknown with so much gusto. Love and miss you girls!

Kyooty,
Bumblebee has grown 4 inches in height this year. She wears the same size clothes and shoes as Ladybug.
I think she will pass up our little Ladybug soon.
Peace be with you,
Mary

This is so adorable. I have been in total anxiety over my grand daughter in 7th grade this year in a school of 600 and she loves it and is doing well so far. Isn't it great?
I am happy your little one is dong good too.

Bridget,
She really likes it. Although, today she told me, Mommy, I still like Dora, but not when the big kids are around.
Peace be with you,
Mary
